***Porsche Penske Motorsport claimed its third consecutive 1-2 finish in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition following Sunday’s Monterey SportsCar Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. With the cars placing first and third in the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona, neither of the factory squad’s Porsche 963s have failed to finish off the podium so far this year.

A total of 15 cars are set for this weekend’s fifth and sixth rounds of the GT World Challenge America powered by AWS season at Sebring International Raceway, with several teams not present. Both AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3s as well as the No. 8 Flying Lizard Motorsports BMW M4 GT3 Evo will not make the trip to central Florida, resulting in a reduced field that’s expected only for the Sebring round.

Mathieu Jaminet and Matt Campbell kept Porsche Penske Motorsport’s undefeated streak in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season alive by breaking through for their first win of the year in Sunday’s Monterey SportsCar Championship. Jaminet took the No. 6 Porsche 963 to a XX-second win over the No. 7 entry of Nick Tandy in the two-hour and 40-minute contest that went caution-free.

Dries Vanthoor scored his fourth consecutive IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship pole position, maintaining his undefeated qualifying record, for Sunday’s Monterey SportsCar Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. The Belgian reeled off a GTP record-breaking 1:12.854 lap time in the No. 24 Team RLL BMW M Hybrid V8 to narrowly edge out the No. 6 Penske Porsche of Matt Campbell by 0.005 seconds.
