Valentino Rossi said he’s “very happy” to have claimed his first career FIA World Endurance Championship pole on home soil, in a day of firsts for Team WRT and BMW at Imola. Racers Edge Motorsports team owner Jon Mirachi has announced his retirement from active duties following 35 years at the helm of the team. Mirachi, who founded the Florida-based operation in 1990, has handed over team manager duties to Jim Pattin, effective immediately. Under Mirachi’s direction, Racers Edge has scored more than 100 wins and 12 championships. “I have no doubt I’m leaving the team in very capable hands,” he said.
