    AUSTIN, Texas — Residents in a South Austin neighborhood have been safely evacuated following reports of an explosive device. Austin police said they received reports of the explosive device at a home on Vintage Stave Road near Brodie Lane just after 3 p.m. on Tuesday. After processing the scene, police determined the only way to safely detonate some of the explosive material inside the home was to detonate on site and evaucate the area.

The current world record is held by Kupreski Kosci in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where 2,325 people named Ivan gathered in July 2017.

    AUSTIN, Texas — A man accused of attacking people at random at the University of Texas at Austin has been arrested. Aymen Labidi remains in Travis County Jail following multiple alleged incidents that happened this week on West Campus. Jail records show the 22-year-old Labidi is charged with three counts of misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury, along with a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

    ROUND ROCK, Texas — An investigation is underway following what police are calling an "alleged attempted child abduction" in Round Rock. Police said the incident happened Tuesday around 4:30 p.m. near East Mesa Park Drive and North A.W. Grimes Boulevard. According to police, a man was reportedly trying to lure children into a van in the area. Some children told police they were walking nearby and saw two masked suspects pull up beside them.
