Titans fans will have seven opportunities to view open practices this summer, including one at Nissan Stadium on July 26 during the team’s Back Together Weekend. The other six practices will be held at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park (ASTSP) on July 23, 24, 29, 30, Aug. 2 and Aug. 6. All open practices will be free for the general public to attend with a ticket claimed online.

Chase Burns didn’t shrink in the moment Tuesday against the New York Yankees. In fact, it was just the opposite. The Beech High School graduate, who played two seasons at Tennessee, struck out the first five batters he faced during his MLB debut, helping the Reds earn a 5-4 win over the league’s most storied franchise. Burns, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 draft, pitched five innings, striking out eight while allowing three runs on six hits and no walks.

Predators general manager Barry Trotz said Tuesday there’s no substance to speculation the team is looking to trade veteran forward Jonathan Marchessault. Appearing at a pre-draft media availability, Trotz said he’d just minutes earlier spoken to Marchessault’s agent, Pat Brisson, making sure all was good between the team and player. “There’s no truth to any of that [trade speculation],” Trotz said.
