BUTTE — A Butte kid has come back to his hometown to get people pumped up again about working out, just like his grandfather got him into the sport, working out in his garage. “When I was seven, yeah, we had this old garage where he worked out, he brought me in there, yeah. I mean, he had everything you could think of, but he got it all from the landfill, all from the landfill, redid it, and we started working out,” said Adonis co-owner Michael Hubner.

Posted BUTTE - The Covellite Theater in Butte Friday will feature a duo that plays a traditional style of Scottish music with instruments not traditionally played together. Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas will play a style of Scottish dance music that was popular in the 1700s combining fiddle and cello. The duet writes their own music in this traditional style. The show is on Friday, April 18 at the Covellite Theater in Butte. Doors open at 7 p.m.

BUTTE — A Butte project to get working-class families into affordable housing got the attention of Gov. Greg Gianforte Wednesday morning. The governor took a tour of a Habitat For Humanity project that's building several homes off Iron Street, designated for low-income and working-class families. Seven homes are expected to be completed by this summer. Gianforte used the occasion to promote his homes program, which he said has created 1,000 additional housing units across the state.

DEER LODGE — A Montana Department of Justice investigation is underway concerning a member of the Powell County Sheriff’s Office, who was also a former employee of Powell County High School. The Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) confirmed to MTN News this week that the office is investigating Austin Micu of Powell County. DCI wouldn't provide any further details about the investigation.
