WINTON, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A person who was suspected of stealing a car in Winton was arrested by the California Highway Patrol with the help of a person who was familiar with the situation. CHP says that a victim shared details online of a missing car, when someone spotted the car parked in town. The suspect returned, got in, and drove off, and was followed at a distance and eventually was blocked by citizens near Walnut and Vine avenues.

VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A home was damaged after an attic fire in Visalia Wednesday night, according to the Visalia Fire Department. Fire officials say around 9 p.m., two trucks, three engines, and a total of seventeen firefighters responded to a house fire in the 6800 block of West Wagner Avenue. When they arrived, firefighters reported finding a fire burning in the attic. Crews managed to extinguish the flames and save the home. No injuries were reported.

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 24-year-old man from Visalia has died following a crash involving a Fresno County employee Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on Mountain View Avenue, west of Clovis Avenue. CHP says the 24-year-old man from Visalia was driving a Toyota Corolla westbound on Mountain View Avenue, west of Clovis Avenue.

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Fresno Police Department is asking for help in identifying a person they say is wanted in a strong-arm robbery. Police say the robbery happened on May 17, 2025, at the 7-Eleven located at 722 North Blackstone Avenue. Police released a photo of the person and say anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity and/or whereabouts is encouraged to contact Detective Taylor Phoolkaat at 559-621-6203 or contact the Fresno Police Department at (559) 621-7000.
