    SELMA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A bear was reported in Selma early Friday morning, the Selma Police Department said, prompting a warning to stay away from an area in the north of the city. The bear was last seen in the area of Wright Street and Dinuba Avenue. Police say the California Department of Fish and Wildlife has been contacted and is responding to the area. Officials ask residents to exercise caution if they are in the area – and not to approach the bear.

    FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A person is dead after crashing into Woodward Park early Friday morning, according to the Fresno Police Department. Police say that around 2 a.m., a driver was going fast down Shepherd Avenue at Friant Road and failed to make a turn, driving straight into a maintenance yard at Woodward Park.     FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 27-year-old Fresno man was arrested after allegedly sending three female Fresno students explicit messages, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office. Officials say the investigation started in February after a Fresno Police Department School Resource Officer got a report that three girls who were students at Sequoia Middle School were sent explicit messages by a man who also attempted to arrange meetings for sexual purposes.

    FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A deceased person was discovered in southeast Fresno after fire crews responded to a vegetation fire Monday night. The Fresno Fire Department said around 7 p.m., they responded to the westbound Peach Avenue onramp onto Highway 180 after they got several calls of a fire. During the firefight, crews said they found a body amid the fire.

    FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A person suspected of driving under the influence was arrested after a truck crashed into parked vehicles Tuesday morning. The Fresno Police Department said the crash happened around 12:15 a.m. at Clinton and Winery avenues. Fresno Police Sergeant Brian Williams said that when officers arrived, they found that a large white pickup had crashed into three cars. Williams said the driver of the pickup was arrested on suspicion of DUI, and no injuries were reported.
