Italian menswear brand Boggi Milano has entered the U.S. market with an ambitious retail expansion plan, anchored by three major store openings in New York City. The brand, which currently has 244 locations in 60 countries, opened a boutique at 115 Mercer Street in SoHo earlier this year. Today marks the grand opening of a second location at 527 Madison Avenue (on the corner of East 54th Street). A third location in The Shops at Columbus Circle will open in June.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art hosted the annual Met Gala last night, celebrating the opening of its latest exhibition at The Costume Institute, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. This is the first show to focus on menswear since Men in Skirts in 2003, and the first time that an exhibit has focused solely on Black fashion.
