Retired Reds announcer Marty Brennaman will host the program at 3:30 p.m., before the 4:10 p.m. Reds-Padres game.

Friends, fans, and former coworkers of Jim Scott, arguably one of Cincinnati’s most popular morning radio hosts, will gather Saturday to celebrate his life with a tribute concert. Scott, who died of ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) a year ago at age 81, was one of a kind from the first day his voice was heard playing rock ‘n’ roll records on WSAI-AM on March 23, 1968. He went door-to-door in neighborhoods to meet prospective listeners. He drove an old three-wheeled U.S. Mail Service truck in parades.

Award-winning television writer Rod Serling “would be humbled, honored, and happy to come home again,” says his daughter, Anne Serling, about the Ohio Historical Marker to be unveiled this fall in Yellow Springs. Serling, who wrote Requiem For A Heavyweight and created The Twilight Zone, studied language and literature at Antioch College in Yellow Springs.

Aaron Thomas is leaving his hometown TV station in Raleigh, North Carolina, to co-anchor weekends with Lindsay Stone at WLWT-TV. She has been anchoring solo since Courtis Fuller retired last August. “This wasn’t an easy decision. Reporting for my hometown TV station has been a blessing and a dream fulfilled. YEARS of prayer and self-reflection led to the conclusion that it’s time for a new challenge,” Thomas wrote on Facebook June 16, his last day at the NBC affiliate.
