CUSHING — With District 22-2A DI playoff teams already locked in, the Cushing Galkats and Mount Enterprise Galcats headed into the week with a two-game series to see which team will represent the league as the ‘big school’ top squad. Mount Enterprise took an early 2-0 lead Tuesday afternoon at Galkat Field in Cushing, but the Galkats rebounded by building a 7-3 lead before hanging on for a 7-5 victory in the matchup of the only two DI schools in the district.

DOUGLASS — The 2025 edition of the Douglass Indians baseball team has prided itself on riding a strong pitching staff that has a sub-1.50 earned run average and a squad can produce runs when they need them the most. They did just that on Monday afternoon, cranking out 12 hits, while Russell Blackmon and Kason Standridge combined for a four-hitter in a 12-2 six-inning league win over Cushing at Indian Field.

CUSHING — In a key District 22-2A matchup before heading to the final stretch of league play, the Douglass Lady Indians used their team speed to obtain the early momentum Tuesday night, then scored 11 runs over the final two frames in a 13-1 decision over rival Cushing in five innings at Galkat Field. The victory was the Lady Indians’ third in their last four games, as they improved to 5-1 in 22-2A action, while moving over the .500 mark on the season at 8-7.
