A man was arrested for allegedly harassing students at a private Jewish school in North Miami Beach. According to police, on Monday, May 5, surveillance cameras captured 24-year-old Jose Garrido walking on the sidewalk adjacent to Yeshiva Toras Chaim Toras Emes just before 11:30 a.m. In the video, police said Garrido bent down, picked something up off the ground and threw it at the school's field where students were playing.

A man armed with an AR-15 assault rifle shot three deputies' vehicles in Marathon on Thursday night before apparently taking his own life, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. Deputies were dispatched to an apartment complex on Sombrero Boulevard around 10 p.m. after the sheriff's office received a call about a man throwing objects from the roof. As the deputies approached the building, the gunman began shooting at their vehicles, according to the sheriff's office.

An alligator attacked and killed a woman who was canoeing with her husband on a central Florida lake Tuesday afternoon, authorities said, after her spouse tried unsuccessfuly to fight off the predator. The attack occurred near the mouth of Tiger Creek into Lake Kissimmee, south of Orlando, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said. It's near the same location as a March alligator attack in which a woman was bitten on the elbow while kayaking.

A disturbing road rage incident, in which a man pointed a gun at a woman and her daughter as they were leaving Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, was caught on camera. Now the Broward Sheriff's Office has asked for the public's help in identifying the guy. It happened Tuesday, April 29, around 7 p.m. near the 300 block of Terminal Drive.

A section of I-95 in Miami-Dade has reopened after it was shut down for hours early Thursday morning due to a deadly crash. The crash, involving two SUVs and a motorcycle, happened in the southbound lanes near NW 119 Street around 4 a.m. For more than five hours, all lanes, including the express lanes, were closed from NW 125 Street to NW 103 Street. All traffic was forced to exit the highway at NW 125 Street. The delays extended into Broward County.
