    The work was carried out by Hbn Trees (Image: PR) A TOTAL of 1,600 trees are being planted at Ashridge Estate in Hertfordshire as part of efforts to restore 42 hectares of ancient woodland. Over the past three years, the National Trust has been carefully removing non-native conifers from some of the most inaccessible and ecologically vulnerable parts of the landscape and this year it has been working with Hbn Trees to replant these areas with a mix of native broadleaf species.
