Tracking rain chances mid-week TODAY: Monday will be an extension of the weekend weather-wise. A northeast breeze sustained around 10-15 mph at times under partly cloudy skies will keep high temperatures cool once more. Expect highs in the mid-60s this afternoon. TONIGHT: Temperatures fall into the 40s overnight, with clearing skies and a variable wind. EXTENDED: With a cool start, but mostly sunny skies and an easterly breeze, we expect slightly warmer temperatures on Tuesday.

Tracking a cool but dry weekend TODAY: Friday will be another one with plenty of dry time bookended by rain chances. Some showers will be possible, especially in the south from 7 a.m. to noon. This will leave many along and north of I-70 dry, but a chance for thunderstorms comes along a cold front shortly after noon in the west. This should bring most a chance for rain and thunder as it sweeps from west to east through the afternoon.

Tracking scattered rain through the end of the week TODAY: Thursday will have plenty of dry time, but you'll want to watch radar; especially this afternoon. Spotty rain chances this morning will dry up around midday, before isolated to scattered showers and weak storms bubble up again this afternoon. Temperatures may just reach 70 this afternoon. Winds are sustained around 5-10 mph from the southwest. Little additional rain, less than a quarter inch is forecast. Some will stay dry.

Tracking more rain chances ahead of prolonged dry time TODAY: Wednesday is another wet day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Rain will spread across the region through the early morning, with showers and a few storms both present. These will exit to the northeast through late morning and early afternoon, leaving us drier through midday. Then, another round works in south of a warm front during the afternoon and evening.

Tracking a wet midweek ahead of a picturesque weekend TODAY: Tuesday will start wet with scattered thunderstorms. We remain in an ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert day as we may have a strong storm or two, but our overall severe threat appears low. Our severe threat should completely come to an end after a cold front that is driving storms, passes out of the region around 9 a.m. near I-44.

It's a beautiful Mother's Day Weekend ahead! We'll warm from the low 70s this afternoon, into the mid-70s Saturday, and have a chance at 80 depending on the timing of increasing clouds Sunday afternoon. https://t.co/bbAEORnMTI

Happy Thursday friends! We have widespread rain in the south this morning, but showers and storms will be isolated at best this afternoon. Drier weather and more sunshine works in later today, so don't forget the sunscreen, and enjoy! More blue skies ahead this weekend 😎 https://t.co/Jud8TuFfLV

Good morning! I've had some friends mention sunburns from Tuesday's sun. We'll have a similar UV index, especially in the north this afternoon. Don't forget sunscreen, even with clouds and rain in the forecast today! I'll have the latest on ABC17 News This Morning https://t.co/FiE39fElS5
