    The solution is harder than most people thinkA major guiding principle for biblical studies is that we should not read into Scripture what it does not claim directly. There are some inferences that we must draw to maintain orthodoxy (e.g., the Trinity), true, but these were worked out centuries ago. Modern conservative scholars have also developed systematic ways to approach biblical inerrancy and inspiration. In other words, a lot of heavy lifting has already been done for us.

    Surprising results support the Flood account A new study on the last known surviving woolly mammoth population is raising eyebrows.1 A group of scientists travelled to Wrangel Island, an isolated spot in the Arctic Ocean that was once connected to the mainland. They collected bone and ivory fragments, carbon dated the samples, and examined each one to see if any contained intact DNA. They then sequenced the genomes of the best-preserved samples.
