The demand for talent is at a record high, while aggressive recruiting is sadly at a 20-year low. Yes, it’s sad to report that aggressive recruiting is fading into the past, just like rock ‘n’ roll. As a result, most corporate recruiting functions have slowly transformed into conservative copycat functions. Today, even former recruiting powerhouse companies like Google and Amazon have slowly joined the crowd. They are becoming painfully conservative.
