Tyler Ashton stopped in Kenora as part of his Electrify AS bike ride. He says he’s trying to raise awareness of the disease and has enjoyed great support. “You know I receive kindness and generosity from complete strangers throughout this entire trip,” says Ashton during a stop in Kenora this week.

    Wildlife photographer Jim Brandenburg, whose images gain brought worldwide attention and praise to, died Friday at his home in Medina. He was 79. The news was announced on his Facebook page. In the months leading up to his death, he had been treated for thyroid cancer and also had pneumonia. A lot of his most iconic work was shot in Minnesota. He was from Luverne.  One of his best-known photographs was “Brother Wolf”.
