Tyler Ashton stopped in Kenora as part of his Electrify AS bike ride. He says he’s trying to raise awareness of the disease and has enjoyed great support. “You know I receive kindness and generosity from complete strangers throughout this entire trip,” says Ashton during a stop in Kenora this week.

Wildlife photographer Jim Brandenburg, whose images gain brought worldwide attention and praise to, died Friday at his home in Medina. He was 79. The news was announced on his Facebook page. In the months leading up to his death, he had been treated for thyroid cancer and also had pneumonia. A lot of his most iconic work was shot in Minnesota. He was from Luverne. One of his best-known photographs was “Brother Wolf”.

There’s no better way to observe and enjoy wildlife than when they aren’t aware of your presence,And the Minnesota Zoo hope that they have created these conditions with their recent conversion of an an old monorail track into a pedestrian walkway. “The Treetop Trail” which was opened in 2023, has recently named as “The Best Specialty Construction of the Year” by Engineering News Record.

It always fills you up with warmth when a community comes together for a good cause, even if it’s as simple as saving an animals life,Odin, a stray cat, is being considered a warrior. According to the Timmins and District Humane Society, he was likely hit by a vehicle recently, and left with devastating injuries. Their vet team initially did everything they could to make him comfortable, but unfortunately one of his eyes has had to be removed.

A Hamilton man has been charged after allegedly watching a movie on his iPad while driving on the 401 highway. Pictures shared by the OPP show that the driver had the iPad propped up on the dashboard of the vehicle.
