Vegas Unstripped, the festival celebrating top Las Vegas chefs and barkeeps, returns for its sixth running from 6 to 9 p.m. April 27 at the Palms. Organizers Eric Gladstone and chef James Trees recently announced a confirmed complement of about 30 chefs and half a dozen mixologists. These food and drink professionals represent independent establishments (mainly) and Strip properties.

The latest dispatches from the Las Vegas (and Wonderland) restaurant front:■ Prince St. Pizza of New York City, which debuted its first Vegas location in December 2023 in the food hall at Durango, is launching a second shop in July, this one at 2390 E. Serene Ave., Suite 400, in Henderson. The new restaurant will encompass about 2,400 square feet. The original Prince St. opened in 2012 in the Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan.

Kyle Cunningham is well on his way to being one of the coffee house kings of Las Vegas. Cunningham is set open a third location of The Coffee Class, in May on West Sahara Avenue. The new shop joins two Coffee Classes in Henderson (opened in 2019 and 2022) and the Almond & Oat Coffee House, a nondairy spot that debuted in 2023, also in Henderson.

The Strip is back. Three food and beverage professionals from Las Vegas were named finalists in the 2025 James Beard Foundation Restaurant and Chef Awards, often called the Oscars of the food world. The foundation announced the finalists in more than two dozen regional and national categories on Wednesday.
Legendary L.A. hot dogs returning to Las Vegas

Pool season begins in Las Vegas, and these legendary L.A. dogs are back in town and ready for wet work. Pink’s Hot Dogs, which the Pink family started in 1939 as a cart on North La Brea Avenue in Hollywood, is returning to Vegas, with stand-alone restaurants at two area water parks. The Pink’s at Cowabunga Bay in Henderson launches April 19 when the park opens; its sibling at Cowabunga Canyon in southwest Las Vegas debuts May 3 when that park starts its 2025 run.
Locally owned French café continues its Las Vegas expansion

It’s the latest l’expansion for Le Café. The French-European bakery, breakfast and lunch restaurant is set to open its third Las Vegas location — Le Café Central — this spring in Chinatown. The debut follows the launches (and subsequent success) of Le Café du Val in Henderson in spring 2020 and Le Café du Sud in Southern Highlands in early 2022. The cafés make up Le Café du Vegas group, with each restaurant name indicating its geographic location within the Las Vegas Valley.
One of nation’s largest steakhouse chains finally coming to Las Vegas Valley

LongHorn Steakhouse, a chain that started more than 40 years ago in Atlanta, growing to 500-plus locations today, is set to open in July in Henderson, according to the restaurant website. LongHorn is converting the former Applebee’s at 699 N. Stephanie St., according to planning documents submitted almost a year ago when LongHorn was seeking approval for the project. Those documents list a restaurant of about 5,400 square feet that seats about 180.
DW Bistro, beloved Las Vegas brunch spot, closing after 15 years

DW Bistro, which opened in far southwest Las Vegas in 2010 when the area was a restaurant desert, will close Sunday after a final brunch, the meal for which the eatery became best known (though lunch and dinner were also served). The brunch is offered from noon to 7 p.m. with bites, signature drinks, live music and more. Tickets are $150 from dwbistro.com. The restaurant is at 9275 W. Russell Road, Suite 190, in The Gramercy.
Pizza Triathlon in Las Vegas draws top dough pros to Pizza Expo

The Pizza Triathlon, part of the World Pizza Games, kicked off the final day of the International Pizza Expo, which returned to the Las Vegas Convention Center from Tuesday through Thursday. The dough boys and girls competed to log the fastest times in pizza box folding and in stretching, spinning and tossing rounds of dough aloft to cover a small and a large pizza pan. The pizzas pros shaped the dough amid flurries of flour that made handling easier.
Naughty Patty’s smash burger joint to hit The Cosmopolitan on Las Vegas Strip

Eggslut is getting some Naughty company. This summer, Naughty Patty’s, a fast-casual smash burger spot, is set to debut in Block 16 Urban Food Hall, in the Boulevard Tower of The Cosmopolitan across the promenade from Eggslut and its sexy comfort food. Naughty Patty’s — get it? — is “a passion project from The Cosmopolitan,” Sean Lanni, the property’s president and chief operating officer, said in a Tuesday statement.
