Emilio Tarr died on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 1:13 p.m., according to a GoFundMe campaign launched by his mom, Elaina Tarr. He was a sixth grader at Elkins Park School in Cheltenham. Emilio was swimming with friends on Sunday, Sept. 1 when he suffered "a tragic drowning accident," his mother previously wrote. Emilio was hospitalized and later died. "Our shooting star was sent to heaven," Elaina Tarr wrote in an update.

A motorist struck the unidentified student along City Avenue shortly before 8 p.m., Lower Merion Township police and the university told NBC Philadelphia. The victim was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, the university said in an email sent to the campus community, the outlet said. The windshield of the SUV was shattered on the driver's side, NBC added. The person in the car stayed at the scene, police told 6abc News.

The shooting happened in the 1200 block of Point Breeze Avenue, Philadelphia around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, the police detailed in the release. The victim was taken by Medic 35 to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable but critical condition, according to the police. Brandon "Bam" Cole Margera, 44, a West Chester native, appeared in Chester Court District Court on Monday, Sept. 23, and is due back in court on Wednesday, Sept. 25, the clerk said. A judge ordered Margera to complete a drug and alcohol evaluation before the judge decides on his case and sets bail, the clerk said. The 44-year-old was arrested last Monday, Sept. 16 in Fulton County during a traffic stop on suspicion of DUI, Pennsylvania State Police told us.
