The southbound lanes of the Route 1 overpass at Route 16 in Milton are set to open early in the week of April 21. The Delaware Department of Transportation has been working on grade-separating the busy intersection since 2022. The signalized intersection frequently stalls Route 1 traffic, which can back up considerably in the summertime, and traffic on Route 16, headed in and out of Milton and Broadkill, often sits for long red lights.

Two weed festivals expect to attract a couple thousand people at each of their puffed-up events in celebration of the 420 holiday in Delaware. The two events are Spring Fling at Fire Base Lloyd in Townsend and the 420 Pregamin BlowChella at Hudson Fields in Milton. Both events are from April 19-20. These 420 festivals are both for ages 21 or older, and guests are encouraged to bring their own weed. Both events will feature live music, vendors, food trucks and more.
