Because of the grit and determination of a few, Artesia continues to produce and contribute to our community, state and country in an enormous way through oil and gas.

“Solutions arise from the minds of many.”Newspapers, radio, blogs, Zoom, social media- we have more avenues to communication than ever before. We have evolved from wax sealed letters delivered on horseback to instant delivery of a Facebook post to multiple devices. In my opinion, there is good and bad to this communication evolution. While I appreciate the timeliness of modern methods, I’m concerned that we are missing an integral part of serving the public. And that is simply meeting face to face.
