ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced last week at the latest league meeting that the Bills had been selected to be showcased on HBO's Hard Knocks this training camp. “My reaction?" Bills tackle Dion Dawkins said with a smile Tuesday. "Do you know how loud I screamed?” It's no surprise Dawkins is a fan of being on the show. Head coach Sean McDermott's thoughts on being picked more unexpected. “I think the opportunity for us to be really who we are," McDermott explained.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Ian MacKay has one more game to go in the best season of his NLL career. "It's really unique," MacKay said. "I'm kind of in a position I've never been before." Literally. MacKay has been a transition player for the Buffalo Bandits in years past, but his season he's found his way to offense. "It took a little bit to get comfortable," MacKay said. ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Brandon Beane stayed put Thursday night, even with the Bills general manager indicating there were opportunities to move up or down in the first round. I believe night two might be one for movement. The Bills are currently equipped with two picks on Friday night, both in the second round (56 and 62 overall). Not having a selection in the third round seems too empty for Beane's liking, especially with two fourth-round and three fifth-round picks as trade ammunition.
