Summertown Travels to Loretto FridayBy Jonah StoreyFor Lawrence County Advocate“There are no ugly wins. A win is a win, and they are pretty.” That was Summertown head football coach Dan Winfrey’s feeling about his team improving to 3-0 on the season with a 26-12 home win over Hickman County Friday. Summertown’s defense got the action started, causing a fumble that stopped Hickman County’s early momentum, and giving Kaden McCrory a chance to score on offense.

The buffalo went home with Summertown Friday as the students stormed the field and the Eagles flew off into the night with a win over in-county rival Lawrence County. The Eagles scored early with a Jaden Stoll touchdown pass to wide receiver Logan Love. Brad Hoffman’s extra point put Summertown up 7-0. In the second quarter Summertown scored again on a Stoll run up the middle and Hoffman set the final score at 14-0 before halftime.
