    The Giles County Commission approved the appointment of three individuals to the Airport Advisory Board last week. The action was taken at the Commission’s Jan. 21 meeting, which was streamed live and remains available on-demand on the Pulaski Citizen Live YouTube Channel and on the Pulaski Citizen Facebook page. Appointed to the board were District 1 Commissioner Jim Lathrop, Elkton Mayor Ryan Gilland and Derek Rowe.

    A two-day search and rescue effort for a missing Giles County woman ended with her located alive over the weekend. Giles E-911 received a call Jan. 24 reporting Kimberly Leeann Toone missing from Marvin Hughes Road in Goodspring. “Units from the Giles County Sheriff’s Department (GCSD) responded and requested assistance from the Giles County Office of Emergency Management (OEM),” Emergency Services Director Bill Myers said.

    Christmas parade season in Giles County will kick off this Sunday with Minor Hill’s annual showcase and culminate with the Pulaski-Giles County Christmas Parade Saturday, Dec. 14.     After going months without one, the city of Lynnville is now moving towards the approval of a new budget for the city for the remainder of the fiscal year. “What you have in your packets is the proposed budget that was [from] the end of September,” Mayor Tim Turner told the Board of Mayor and Aldermen Nov. 12.
