The Ripon High School Tiger baseball team hung with the Laconia Spartans Monday afternoon, but was unable to overcome seven walks and two errors as it dropped a non-conference road game 6-2 at William N. Taylor Park. Three of the six runs the Tigers allowed were unearned and two came as a result of bases-loaded walks. Laconia also did a good job of playing small ball as it had a sacrifice bunt and two sacrifice flies to help generate runs.

Coy DeVries was unhittable Tuesday afternoon in the Ripon High School Tiger baseball team’s 14-0, five-inning road win over the rival Berlin Indians. The junior did not give up a hit in his five innings of work, while striking out 12 batters and walking four. DeVries’ no-hitter is the first for the Ripon High School Tiger baseball team since Andrew Radloff achieved the feat in 2017 during a 14-0, five-inning win over the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers. He threw 85 pitches.
