It’s high time for a new Toyota RAV4, given that it’s been about seven years since the fifth-generation XA50 was revealed to the world. Right on cue, a leaked image of the next model has allegedly made its way onto Weibo, according to Australian portal Drive. The image was purportedly taken at a Chinese dealer conference discussing GAC Toyota products – the joint venture currently produces the fifth-gen model in Guangzhou as the Wildlander with unique front and rear ends.

The main holdup is trying to get all highway concessionaires to agree on the system’s direction, and last we heard, the cabinet has terminated negotiations with the operators.

During the launch of its new SOS Balance feature today, Touch ‘n Go’s e-commerce arm TNG Digital has confirmed that several highways are in the process of adopting its PayDirect system, whereby toll payments will be deducted directly from a user’s eWallet balance even when they use their physical TNG card. Notably, this includes closed-system tolled highways managed by PLUS Malaysia, including the North-South Expressway. Hitherto, PLUS had been the biggest holdout of this feature.

We already detailed Touch ‘n Go eWallet’s new SOS Balance feature yesterday, but now it’s official with its launch at the headquarters of Touch ‘n Go’s e-commerce arm TNG Digital today. As previously reported, the new service provides temporary relief for users with insufficient balance by delaying toll payments for 24 hours (up to a maximum of RM80 for now), preventing them from getting stuck at toll plazas due to baki kurang.

That was quick. Just a day after announcing job openings for its Kuala Lumpur and Penang outlets, Denza Sime Motors has revealed that the Denza D9 electric MPV is open for booking. This is in line with the planned timeframe for an introduction of BYD’s premium brand in the first quarter of the year and hints that the car will be launched very soon. For those not familiar, the D9 is a luxury electric MPV that competes with the likes of the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire and the Zeekr 009.
