That was quick. Just a day after announcing job openings for its Kuala Lumpur and Penang outlets, Denza Sime Motors has revealed that the Denza D9 electric MPV is open for booking. This is in line with the planned timeframe for an introduction of BYD’s premium brand in the first quarter of the year and hints that the car will be launched very soon. For those not familiar, the D9 is a luxury electric MPV that competes with the likes of the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire and the Zeekr 009.

Sime Motors is wasting no time setting up its business selling Denza vehicles. What appears to be a new subsidiary, Sime Denza, has put up a hiring ad for its Kuala Lumpur and Penang locations. The company is looking for sales advisers, service advisers and technicians in both cities as well as a sales administrator, a front desk officer, a parts officer and a warranty officer in Penang.

The Proton eMas 7 EV was launched almost precisely a month ago with a RM4,000 rebate and a special launch package worth RM8,000 for the first 3,000 customers. The launch package consists of a free 7 kW home charger, a free vehicle-to-load (V2L) adaptor, low interest from 1.98%, a five-year unlimited data package and a RM1,200 trade-in rebate. Pro-Net has announced that these have been fully spoken for, meaning bookings have exceeded or at least reached 3,000.

Lotus Cars Malaysia has announced that a limited number of selected pre-owned units of the Eletre SUV are now on sale. A total of nine cars are being made available, all produced in either 2023 or 2024 with mileage of 18,000 km or less. The bevy of Eletre S and R units (the base Eletre was not available in Malaysia until very recently) include a Kaimu Grey 2023 Eletre S with a Jasper (read: black with red stitching) interior with just 6,000 km on the clock, going for only RM570,000.
