The first-year South Pontotoc track team had an outstanding performance last Thursday at the Region 1-4A meet at Tishomingo County High School. ECRU-North Pontotoc (15-11) blanked Senatobia 10-0 in five innings last Tuesday to take game one of their Region 2-4A series against the Warriors. The Vikings would go on to sweep Senatobia, part of four region victories and five total wins last week. Catcher Jack Cummings and outfielder Landen Williams each drove in 4 runs for North, while Rylan Kentner only allowed one hit and fanned 11 batters on the mound in only five innings (11 out of 15 outs via strikeout). kAmpJ56?

After a tough week of being on a short end of three division games, the Pontotoc Lady Warriors (13-9) finished out Region 1-5A play with two lopsided victories over Clarksdale on Monday. WEST POINT- After a tough couple of weeks that saw the Warriors drop four straight one-run games in region play, Pontotoc (15-5) swept West Point last week to improve to 4-4 in Region 1-5A. The Warriors have one region series remaining against Corinth this week. Last Tuesday the Warriors traveled to West Point for game two, coming away with a 7-0 shutout victory after nearly three hours of play. A tight strike zone saw 12 total walks between the two teams.

The North Pontotoc tennis team advanced to the second round of the MHSAA 4A tennis playoffs with a 5-2 home victory over the Houston Hilltoppers last Tuesday. At girls singles, Ava Ashley defeated Houston's Aubrey Kate Alford 4-6, 6-0 (10-5). In boys doubles, Kason Moss and Nolan Ashley won 6-1, 6-0 over Sadarious Randle and Kylyn Berry. kAmx?
