SunSport revealed last week that the Rangers takeover by US health tycoon Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises is almost there. The American consortium have secured the required number of shares to complete the deal, that remains on course to get over the line by the end of May.

A deal for the American investors to acquire a controlling stake in the Light Blues is set to be completed before too long.
