Trader Joe’s has recalled plastic clamshell containers of fresh basil from their stores in 29 States and Washington DC. The leading grocer announced a voluntary recall of its 2.5-ounce plastic clamshell containers of organic basil on April 17 “as the product may have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.”“Do not eat Infinite Herbs-brand organic basil sold at Trader Joe’s stores in 29 states and D.C.,” the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) warned on Wednesday.
