    KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — An arrest has been made following a report of a shots fired incident Tuesday night in Kirksville. According to a press release from the Kirksville Police Department, officers responded to the area of North Luther and West Burton Street just before 11:45 p.m. A resident in the 700 block of West Burton told police that a man known to him drove near his house in a silver car and fired multiple times from a handgun.

    Biagio D. Davenport, of Hallsville, Mo., is accused of first-degree assault, a Class A felony, and armed criminal action in the shooting incident. The shooting happened in the 1100 block of North Franklin Street just after 9 p.m. Monday. According to court documents, when officers arrived, they found an 18-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the street. He told officers he was shot by someone in a black sedan.
