    BEVIER, Mo. — A northeast Missouri man is in jail after he allegedly raped and sexually abused a girl. A release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol states Cameron Joseph Hunter, 18, of Bevier, Mo., was arrested on Monday. He is charged with first-degree rape, a felony, plus second-degree sexual abuse, and third-degree kidnapping. The arrest came after an investigation by the Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC).

    KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — Two northeast Missouri residents are in jail facing charges of controlled substance possession and drug trafficking. On Friday, authorities with the North Missouri Drug Task Force, Adair County Sheriff's Office, Kirksville Police Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol conducted a search warrant in a home on East Burton Street in Kirksville. The home was the residence of Rosa Ruth Melson, 55, and Cody Evart Ralls, 36, both of Kirksville.

    PUTNAM COUNTY, Mo. — A northeast Missouri man was injured in a weekend motorcycle crash in Putnam County. According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the wreck happened around 3:30 p.m. Sunday on Missouri Route 129, two miles south of Unionville. The report says a 51-year-old man from Milan was operating the motorcycle when he lost control and overturned in the roadway.

    KIRKSVILLE, Mo — A Kirksville Girls Soccer senior will be taking her talents to the next level to play with a Division III powerhouse up in Indianola, Iowa. Kirksville Defensive Midfielder Zoe Cole signed her letter of intent to join the Women's Soccer team at Simpson College. The Kirksville star has been a big part of the defensive third for the Tigers team, which has four clean sheets and four games with only one goal allowed out of their 14 games played.
