The weather story of the day will revolve around the winds picking up again! West winds from 20 to 40 miles per hour out there will push high profile cars around a bit on the road and maybe tip over a few garbage cans. Later tonight, a cold front will drop in occasional rain/snow showers, but don’t be concerned about snow accumulation. After that, the next chance to see rain will be later in the day on Thursday. Partly cloudy and windy on Monday.

High pressure is in the forecast as we get into the weekend! After a not-so-great week of spring weather, sunshine will work the thermometer up Friday and Saturday. Our next rain chance will arrive Saturday night into Sunday. Don’t worry, this rain chance won’t wash out the weekend as the showers come through spotty and at various times – you’ll be able to get outside and enjoy the warmer weather. Friday, mostly sunny as fair weather clouds drift by or puff up from time to time.

Clouds will continue to be stubborn on Thursday as unorganized energy churns around the Midwest. Locally, there is a chance for isolated rain/snow showers, mainly in the morning or early afternoon for communities west of the Fox Valley, but many will just see clouds throughout the day. The weather improves as sunshine emerges Friday, leading to a beautiful start to the weekend.

Mostly cloudy skies Wednesday as we step into a more active two-day forecast. A light mix of snow or rain could start to impact the northern half of the area in the morning, while the southern half will get rain to develop either in the late afternoon or evening. Highs will be in the middle and upper 40s. Tonight, scattered rain showers with some snow mixing late in as temperatures cool down to 35 degrees. Minor snow accumulation is expected, mainly in the grass, while the rest will melt on contact.

The normal high temperature for April 8th is 50 degrees, and it looks like we won’t get that warm on the thermometer until the end of the week. Our next chance for rain/snow showers is tomorrow, but it doesn’t look like a washout. Snow accumulation doesn’t seem to be an issue as temperatures will be into the 40s for highs, so you can expect mainly rain or a mix. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies Tuesday. Highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
