One of the Bow Valley’s most popular bands, Elk Run & Riot, is reuniting for the first time in two years for a night of songs and memories at the Canmore Legion on Saturday (April 19). Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. “It’s super exciting to play live and have the energy from the crowd and from the bandmates,” said the band’s drummer Marc Frappier.

CANMORE – The AJHL All-Star team has some wings. Canmore Eagles netminder Alex Scheiwiller was named to the AJHL’s south division’s all-league team, the top line as voted by coaches and general managers. During an MVP-calibre season, the 20-year-old Scheiwiller was 22-6-6 between the pipes, with a .921 save percentage, a 2.32 goals against average and one shutout. Scheiwiller said he expects to suit up for the Eagles next season.
