1. IntroductionOne of the most puzzling problems of high energy physics is the origin of neutrino masses. In the Standard Model (SM) of weak and electromagnetic interactions, neutrinos are massless and have left-handed chirality. However, we know that some of the three species of neutrinos must have a mass, in order to explain the phenomenon of neutrino oscillations [1].
