IntroductionSudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) is characterized by an abrupt onset of sensorineural hearing impairment, involving a decrease of at least 30 dB in hearing across three consecutive frequencies within a span of 72 h. This condition affects an estimated 5 to 20 individuals out of every 100,000 people annually (1). The precise cause of SSNHL remains elusive, but it is widely believed to result from a complex interplay of factors.
