Genesis, Hyundai Motor Group’s luxury brand, is shifting gears in its electrification strategy by introducing hybrid models—starting with the GV80 SUV. According to Korea JoongAng Daily, mass production of the Genesis GV80 Hybrid will begin in September 2026 at the Ulsan plant in South Korea. The GV80 Hybrid will be the first of three key hybrid models. It will be followed by the G80 Hybrid in December 2026 and the GV70 Hybrid in March 2027.
