Turlock Police said they are searching for a woman who was last seen Thursday morning. Kelsy Ramos, 44, of Turlock was reported missing on May 2, around 3:40 p.m., police said. She was last seen by her family at 10:30 a.m. in Newman, and her last known location was in Turlock just before 11 a.m. Police said she was in Turlock driving in her white 2017 Nissan Versa, near Fulkerth Road and Countryside Drive. Her vehicle was later spotted in Fresno on West Shaw Avenue around 3:30 p.m., police said.

BERKELEY, Calif. — A Berkeley man allegedly threw a live grenade out of a car window while fleeing from California Highway Patrol officers on Friday, the highway patrol said Saturday. Sgt. Andrew Barclay said that around 3:30 p.m., highway patrol officers assigned to Oakland tried to pull over the driver of a stolen vehicle near 38th Street and Cerritos Avenue. The driver refused to stop, led them on a chase through Oakland and eventually entered Berkeley.

A Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office employee and another person were found dead in a Hughson home Sunday morning, Modesto Police said. Around 9:30 a.m., a child called 911 and said their parents were dead, police said. Officers arrived at the home on the 1700 block of Fontana Ranch Road, which is about 9 miles southeast of Modesto, and evacuated two children from the home. Inside, they found a man and a woman who were both deceased, one of whom was a sheriff's employee.

West Sacramento Police said they will be increasing their presence at some high schools after the killing of a 16-year-old and the shooting of another. Officers will be at Washington Unified School District high schools. Police said there is no threat at the schools, and the teens were not WUSD students; but they will be near campuses to reassure the community.

Stockton Police said that around 4:40 p.m. they were called to a home on the 8400 block of Kelley Drive. When they arrived, they learned two 22-year-old men were cleaning their guns when one of them accidentally shot himself and the other man, police said.
