Week 10 was a hard-earned win for the San Francisco 49ers against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was a game that was more difficult than it needed to be. The bright side is that Christian McCaffrey made his debut and looked like his normal elite self. McCaffrey totaled 107 yards on 19 touches, recording 68 of his yards through the air, including 35 yards after the catch. He had a pretty strong game, to say the least. However, as strong of a performance as it was, it was just as concerning of one.

Refreshed and recharged. That is how the San Francisco 49ers should be feeling as they emerge from their Bye week. It was a perfect time to step away so that they could lock in for their second half of the season push. However, it is also some time for them to reflect on where they can improve. The bye week arrived at the perfect time for the San Francisco 49ers. It is always a tremendous benefit when a team can regroup at the midway point of the season. That goes a long way, especially for a playoff-contending team like the 49ers. All of their focus will be to improve their 4-4 record as they muster their playoff push. However, four 49ers players need to step up when they emerge from the Bye week.

More than one loss was taken by the San Francisco 49ers against the Kansas City Chiefs. All-Pro wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk tore his ACL and MCL in that game. He will miss the remainder of the 2024 season. Aiyuk’s numbers have been underwhelming this season, but he was still an impactful player. Defenses would game plan around him despite his low numbers. Filling the hole left by Aiyuk will be impossible for the 49ers.

The bye week is a thing of the past, and the Kansas City Chiefs are getting a major test right out of the gate in the second half of their 2024-25 season. For Week 7, the reigning champions are heading west to square off against the same club they faced earlier this calendar year in Super Bowl LVIII. The San Francisco 49ers, off to a 3-3 start to the year, are in desperate need of a victory for momentum and surely want to get some revenge in the process.
