    WWE SmackDown is moving back to USA Network a few weeks earlier than initially anticipated. It was originally announced that SmackDown's new deal with USA Network would go into effect this October. But USA revealed today that SmackDown will be back on the channel starting on September 13. The date means SmackDown is staying on Fridays on USA. SmackDown is returning to USA for the first time since departing for Fox in 2019.

    Jim Ross believes that he and Jerry "The King" Lawler will call at least one more match together. It was confirmed earlier this week that WWE chose not to renew Lawler's broadcasting contract when it expired this January. Lawler is still under a legends deal with WWE but believes that his commentary career with the company has "probably ended."During Thursday's episode of his Grilling JR podcast, Ross expressed that he felt bad about Lawler's WWE contract not being renewed.

    Though Vince McMahon is no longer involved, WWE's business relationship with Saudi Arabia remains strong. As part of a deal with the Saudi government, WWE has held PPVs/PLEs in the country since 2018. The long-term deal calls for WWE to hold two events in Saudi Arabia per year, receiving an estimated $50 million for each show. The next of those events will be King & Queen of the Ring on May 25.

    Ronda Rousey "really wanted" a singles match against Becky Lynch in WWE. Though they famously were in-ring rivals, Rousey and Lynch only ever faced each other once. That came in the main event of WrestleMania 35 when Lynch defeated Rousey and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match. They never faced each other one-on-one during either of Rousey's stints with WWE. In a video for LiveSigning to promote her book "Our Fight," Rousey was asked about her dream opponents in UFC and WWE.
