DEXTER, MI - Saline girls basketball faced Dexter on Friday, Jan. 10. Dexter won the game, 55-30. Dexter now leads the SEC- Red with the win over Saline. Dexter’s Alena Blumberg led her team with 12 points. Saline’s Kadyn Maida led her team with seven points before leaving the game late in the fourth quarter with an injury. Next game: Dexter will play on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Temperance Bedford. Tip-off time is set for 5:30pm. Saline will host Ann Arbor Pioneer on Tuesday at 7:00pm.

CONCORD, MI - Stockbridge traveled to Concord for a high school boys basketball matchup. Stockbridge won the game, 38 -31. Concord plays next on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Springport High School. Tip-off time is set for 7:00 p.m.Stockbridge will play Bronson at home on Tuesday, Jan. 14 with a tip-off time of 7:00 pm. FENTON, MI - Fenton girls basketball faced Flint Kearsley on Tuesday night, Jan. 7. The Tigers defeated the Hornets 51-44. Fenton’s Kiersten Rutley led the team in scoring with 11 points, followed by Madison Eltringham, who scored 10. Kearsley’s Amya Johnson led all scorers with 17 points, complimented by Claire Carley, who scored seven. Fenton plays Linden next at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10 at Linden High School. Kearsley hosts Holly at 5:30 p.m. Friday Jan. 10.

ANN ARBOR, MI - Dexter played Pioneer in a boys ice hockey matchup at Vets Ice Arena on Wednesday night. The final score was 7-4 in favor of Dexter. Pioneer led through the first period scoring 3 of their 4 team goals in the period. Dexter was able to score 3 goals in the third period to break the 4-4 tie in the final 5 minutes of the game. Dexter head coach Kenny Grundy awarded Dexter forward Jeremy Schroeder the game chain for his performance in the game.

JACKSON, MI -- Brooklyn Columbia Central defeated Concord girls basketball at the Runway Shot Clock Invitational on January 4 at Jackson College’s Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse. The final score was 57- 29.
