    A 28-year-old man, who falsely identified himself to Sarnia police, is facing numerous charges including causing a disturbance. On Tuesday July 2, at around 11:40 a.m., police were called to a traffic complaint for a male on a bicycle in the middle of Confederation Street at Ontario Street attempting to hit cars. About 10 minutes later, police were dispatched to The Inn of the Good Shepherd at 950 Confederation Line.

    This year's Sarnia-Lambton Sports Hall of Fame class features a local Olympic champion. A total of 10 individuals and one team are being honoured, including Corunna's Derek Drouin. Drouin has won the Jack Isom Award, which goes to athletes who have excelled in international competitions. Drouin won a gold medal in the men's high jump held at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and, four years earlier, earned a silver medal at the Olympic Games in London, England.

If so, the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) wants to hear about it through their annual Worst Roads campaign, which officially launched Wednesday. Residents are being asked for their feedback on roads that have potholes, poor traffic signage, traffic congestion, and a lack of pedestrian and cycling infrastructure.

    Trying to buy a new vehicle with a fake ID has resulted in fraud charges for a Sarnia woman. City police were called on Monday about a customer attempting to purchase a truck valued at about $100,000 at Park Lane Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC allegedly using fraudulent documents. The Sarnia Police Criminal Investigation Division (CID) initiated an investigation and found the accused used counterfeit cheques, credit cards and identification.
