Extended Forecast: Saturday will feature more widespread breezy/windy weather, but winds will be calmer in comparison to Friday. Rain will be much more likely across the map on Saturday, with more thunderstorms possible in the Blues. It won’t be a washout, but some outdoor plans could be impacted. Another good reason to have our weather app on hand! Rainfall totals will struggle to reach 0.50” in the mountains through early Sunday morning, with lower elevations struggling to pick up 0.10”.

Friday: It’ll be a windy day with the strongest gusts in the Kittitas Valley and Morrow County foothills. A few showers are possible in lower elevations, and a thunderstorm is possible in the Blues. Thursday: Skies will generally be partly to mostly cloudy, although there could be more sunshine in the Blue Foothills and Blue Mountains. Highs will actually turn about 5 degrees cooler than normal for mid-June. There could be a few breezes on the map, but much more impactful winds will hold off until Thursday Night. Thursday Night: Clouds will continue to pick up throughout the evening. In fact, a few showers are possible in our mountains, and in the Blue Foothills.

Wednesday: Windy weather will be widespread, with the strongest gusts in the Kittitas Valley and Morrow County foothills. Skies will be sunny, except for some clouds in the Cascades. In fact, a few showers or thunderstorms will be possible in the Cascades throughout the course of the day. The rest of the region should be dry. Highs will be similar to Tuesday in that they’ll roughly be about 5 degrees warmer than normal for mid-June.
