KENNEWICK, Wash.--Shower and thunderstorm chances become much more prevalent for Sunday through Tuesday, with the wettest days being Monday and Tuesday. The Cascades, valleys, and basin won’t pick up much. It’ll be a bit of a different story in the Blue Foothills and Blue Mountains, but it’ll be a stretch for anyone to pick up over 0.50” of rain. Other than rain and thunderstorm chances, the winds will also be a factor as we head into next week–especially on Tuesday and Wednesday.

In spite of the winds, we’ll stay mostly dry for Saturday, although we’ll hold onto low-end chances of showers and thunderstorms in the Blues. Friday: It’ll be a partly cloudy day with warmer highs. Highs should end up being about 5-10 degrees warmer than normal for early May. Winds will be mostly light, although it’ll be a bit breezy in the Blue Foothills. Friday Night: Skies will turn mostly cloudy during the evening, but the forecast should stay mostly dry. However, we can’t rule out a very low-end chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the Blues. Overnight lows will be chilly in the mountains, and mild for lower elevations.
