Police: Pasco man suspected of DUI, going 122 MPH before crash that hurt teen

KENNEWICK, Wash. - A Pasco man is accused of going over 120 MPH before running a red light and crashing into another car Saturday night. Jake Musser, 38, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and reckless driving. Just after 10 p.m., officers with the Kennewick Police Department were responding to a call near Clearwater Avenue and Ridgeline Drive when they said a dark-colored Audi was speeding in the eastbound lane of Clearwater. Officers said radar showed the car was going 122 MPH.
Two arrested after shooting in Sunnyside

SUNNYSIDE, Wash. - Two people were arrested Thursday after a shooting in Sunnyside. Just before 3 p.m., officers with the Sunnyside Police Department were called to the 1300 block of Gregory Avenue for a report of two men fighting. As officers arrived, they said they heard gunshots. Adan Munoz, 32, of Outlook, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and unlawful possession of a firearm. A 17-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the arm.

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Kennewick Police Department said a Pasco man died while handcuffed in the back of a patrol car Thursday. Carlos E. Rodriguez, 46, of Pasco, has been identified as the man who died. According to KPD, officers were calledÃ‚Â to the area of Canal Drive and Crosswinds Boulevard around 10:15 a.m. after witnesses reported a man, later identified as Rodriguez, walking in the middle of the road.
Selah Police identify child remains found on Cowiche Mill Road

SELAH, Wash. - The Selah Police Department has released new information into a missing child investigation. Authorities confirmed Wednesday the remains of Alaric "AJ" Funderburgh, 4, were found on Cowiche Mill Road around April 16, 2025. An autopsy was started on April 22, however, the King County Medical Examiner's Office said it is still doing further tests to identify how the child died.

KENNEWICK, Wash. — 12 P.M.: Police arrested a woman at the scene. Apple Valley News Now saw police wielding what is believed to be the suspected weapon. It appeared to be a baton or stick with a taser at the end of it, commonly known as a "stun baton". At this time, it's unknown if there is more weapons or other people involved. UPDATE 11:20 A.M.: The Richland Police Department confirmed it is investigating a weapons complaint.

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Kennewick Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened Monday night. The first witness calls came in around 6:14 p.m. They reported hearing several gunshots in the area of West Clearwater Avenue and North Edison Street, near the Safeway grocery store. People reported seeing three people, at least one of whom had a handgun, shoot at a vehicle. Witnesses said the three people then ran from the scene.

RICHLAND, Wash. - The Richland Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that happened early Sunday morning on SR 240. It happened just before 9:30 a.m.Witnesses at the scene told officers they saw a vehicle speeding and going westbound on Columbia Park Trail when it slammed into the concrete base of the SR 240 overpass. Witnesses said the vehicle then rolled and the driver was trapped under the vehicle.
