A pensioner was robbed by a group of thugs in balaclavas as he walked home from the pub in Warrington. The robbers threatened the 66-year-old man with a knife and demanded that he empty his pockets and hand over cash. Police are now appealing for witnesses and video footage following the armed robbery, which happened at around 7.45pm on Sunday 20 April. The man had left the Maltings pub on Old Hall Road and was walking home when he was stopped.

Police pulled over a Jaguar F-Pace on the M6 in Cheshire to find the driver concealing up to £430,000 worth of cocaine. Nathan O’Hare appeared at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday 16 April where he was sentenced to nine years and seven months. The 32-year-old of Littler Road, Haydock, had previously pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs following an earlier hearing.

A drug dealer has been caught after his made a major gaffe that handed police a key piece of evidence. Huba Armarildo is now spending time behind bars after he left his toothbrush at the site of his half-a-million-pound cannabis farm in Warrington. The 20-year-old was jailed for 15 months on Thursday, April 24, following pleading guilty to the production of cannabis and the abstraction of electricity.

A sexual predator has been jailed for 14 years for multiple sexual offences against women and children. Simon Arden appeared at Chester Crown Court on Thursday 17 April where he was handed the sentence. The 41-year-old, of Macclesfield, had previously been found guilty of multiple offences. These included rape, sexual assault, exposure, sexual assault of a child under 13, engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

Cheshire police officers are on the hunt for a Widnes man wanted in connection to stalking and criminal and damage offences. Anthony Humpheries, 40, is from the Widnes area and also has links to the Liverpool region. Police are urging members of the public to look out for him and get in touch if they have any information as to his whereabouts. A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "Police in Widnes are appealing to trace a wanted man with links to the Liverpool area.
