The men swept 9–0 and the women won 8–1 heading into a busy January stretch. As students made their way back to campus during the final days of winter break, the Tufts men’s and women’s squash teams headed to San Diego to play against Denison University. The men and women alike saw lots of success on Saturday, with the men taking home a clean 9–0 sweep and the women only dropping one match, winning 8–1.

Tufts' new circus club looks to expand and overcome financial barriers. One night, as third-year combined-degree School of the Museum of Fine Arts student Candy Li skipped across the Academic Quad, she suddenly became possessed by the statue of Jumbo.She felt its angry spirit and learned the dark truth of Jumbo’s life. While many believe Jumbo to have been a beautiful circus elephant with a heroic end, Li discovered how he was overworked, used and abused.

Despite weekend losses, women’s volleyball looks optimistically toward the NESCAC tournament. As the season inches closer to the long-awaited NESCAC tournament, volleyball is eager to take home this year’s trophy. Although they lost to Colby and Bowdoin over this past weekend, their success at the beginning of the season led to a playoff clinch on Friday. The top eight teams make the tournament, and the Jumbos currently sit at the fourth spot with a 6–3 conference record.
