They struck hard and fast before the start of the new year, trading for Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson and agreeing to a deal with center Drew Dalman on the first day of the negotiation window to address the offensive line. They also agreed to terms with Dayo Odeyingbo and Grady Jarrett to fill out the defensive line.

Who is the one Bear you would love to see re-signed that seems unlikely? Jacob Infante: I’ll admit to being a bigger Teven Jenkins fan than the average Bears fan. I know he has had his fair share of injury concerns, and I believe his contract should come at a slight discount to account for the projected time missed.

Chicago Bears fans have had Kansas City Chiefs Pro Bowl guard Trey Smith penciled in as a Bear for a few months now. Smith fills a massive need for the Bears, and they have the salary cap space to make a splash, while K.C.’s cap is currently in the red. While Smith would be a huge get for general manager Ryan Poles, they have the finances to target another need position, so here’s the second roundtable question posed to our team.
