On April 9, US president Donald Trump signed an executive order that aims to revitalise US shipbuilding and strengthen the US-flag fleet. The order directs the creation of a maritime action plan to boost the USA’s maritime industries. Antonov Airlines and Air Partner have delivered a valve for an oil refinery from Italy to the Middle East. The valve, weighing around 20 tonnes and measuring over 3 m in height, was loaded/unloaded from the AN-124-100 aircraft using a low-profile cargo ramp manufactured by Antonov’s in-house engineers, in combination with external cranes. It was transported from Fiumicino, in Rome, to the undisclosed delivery site in the Middle East.

CTS East has purchased a CombiMAX trailer from Faymonville, the first of its kind to be deployed in Africa. CTS East, which is based in Brakpan, South Africa, has an existing fleet largely made up of Faymonville trailers – including semi-trailers, flatbeds, and modules. Following a visit to South Africa by a member of Faymonville’s instruction team, CTS East made the order of a 3+5 combination which includes an excavator bridge.
