The elephant in the room is the fact that Taco Stand on East Broad Street was everyone's go-to for 27 years, and its closure in 2019 left a void that went six years without being filled. For some, just allowing stuff on their plate to brush against other stuff on their plate is considered risky. For others, the prospect of a twist on a familiar dish or sampling an entirely unfamiliar cuisine is motivation enough to venture out of their day-to-day for a new experience.
