While a student at Whitman College, Anne-Marie Zell Schwerin began a journey to connect and find friends. She ended up finding her community and passion at the Walla Walla YWCA. Zell Schwerin was first introduced to the YWCA through a bowling league and felt a calling to get more involved in the Walla Walla community. "I walked in the door as a 23-year-old, very recent college graduate, and I was asked to volunteer and consider a board position," she said.
