A rancher's dog is being credited with helping protect a toddler who went missing in Arizona this week after he wandered away from his home and was found several miles away. Alexander Demooy, 38, purchased the winning 500X The Cash Scratch-Off game for $50 at the Publix store at 175 S. Barfield Drive on Marco Island, the Florida Lottery announced Monday. Demooy opted for a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000 and claimed his prize at the Lottery’s Fort Myers District Office, lottery officials said.
