51st Deli is opening its third location in seven years. Here's where the popular sandwich shop is headed next. A popular Nashville deli is planning its third location. 51st Deli will open at 7104 Charlotte Pike, according to a permit filed with Metro. Carim Yafai founded 51st Deli in the Nations in 2018 and expanded to West End in 2023. The dine-in and carry-out deli is known for its breakfast and lunch sandwiches and tacos as well as its salad bar, juice bar and catering.

For the first time, Nashville restaurants have a chance to land on the Michelin Guide, cementing the city's prominence as a food destination. Anonymous Michelin inspectors are biting into Nashville for the first time. The Michelin Guide is launching the American South Edition, which will showcase culinary gems across Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina, and include the existing Atlanta Guide, according to the release.

The singer is partnering with Detroit-based Joe Vicari Restaurant Group to rebrand Joe Muer Seafood as The Detroit Cowboy, according to a building sign permit filed with Metro.

Nashville-based recruiting firm Southern Hospitality Group (SHG) Inc. appears to be closing its doors May 5. The closure will lay off 100 employees, according to a WARN Notice filed March 31 with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, notifying the state of a "permanent closure."SHG Inc., located at 2816 Columbine Place, was founded in 2016 and specialized in hospitality staffing, from housekeeping, to kitchen assistants to bartenders.
