Bob Krasnozon and Jane Robinson have reopened their automotive centre in Parry Sound, at 31 Parry Sound Rd.The business partners operated Northern Automotive in McKellar, until it closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. After working in other shops in the area, the couple decided to reopen their own automotive centre.

How much money are Parry Sound residents paying to keep public washrooms working? The town says thousands of dollars go toward washrooms each year, with only one open year-round. Parry Sound has three sets of town-maintained washrooms that are not attached to a recreation centre. One downtown at the corner of Seguin Street and Gibson Street (open year-round) one at Waubuno Beach and one recently renovated at the town dock (both closed for the winter).

Almaguin Highlands OPP charged one South River resident with nudity offences. Officers responded to reports of a person “exposing themself to children” as they were walking home from school at about 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 28, 2024, according to police. Following the investigation, police identified, arrested and charged a 63-year-old man with nudity and indecent exposure, indecent act and indecent exposure to a person under 16 years of age.
